Hey y’all, I updated the shop with a couple new things this past week. First, these risograph printed valentines featuring the visages of Mao, Lenin, Castro, and Sankara:
I learned riso printing this week (thenks Alex Luciano) after wanting to learn for a long time, and I’m excited about the possibilities with this new medium. You can look forward to lots more riso stuff in my shop!
Secondly, I letterpressed these Maoist valentines:
These took a long time, partially because the Rubine Red ink I used for the hearts didn’t have a drier in it, so it took them five days to fully dry! Also, this is probably the most type I’ve set for a project—I’m accustomed to printing much shorter phrases, slogans, etc.—so that was another time-extender. I’m proud of how these turned out.
If you’d like either or both of these, or anything else I make, you can find them in the shop!
